Applications are invited for the post of Forensic/Clinical Psychologist. The Forensic/Clinical Psychologist provides a range of professional psychological assessment and treatment services to inmates in accordance with the relevant legislation, Department policies and procedures and professional standards, designed to address inmates' needs and designed to effect positive changes in their behavior so that they are not likely to reoffend. This post coordinates and supervises additional contracted clinical services as determined by the Programme Director or Commissioner. The Forensic/Clinical Psychologist also provides training and limited professional support to the Staff of the Correctional Facilities and undertakes administrative and professional duties including screening and assessment for prospective new hires.
Interested applicants must possess a Doctoral Degree (PhD) or equivalent in Forensic or Clinical Psychology or relevant field of study is required. A minimum of five years’ experience working in a correctional setting, with a special emphasis on sexual, violent and low functioning offenders.
