Shift: 7:00pm-7:00am

Schedule: Nights, PRN (See options below)

Shift Information:

Night shift: Saturday Night and Sunday Night
Winter: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s
Summer: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day

Missed Shift (absent/sick): if you miss a commitment shift during your contracted time period, you will need to make it up within 6 weeks.

Staffing Options: (Choose an option) - Will float to all areas of competency. Procedural areas require scheduled on call rotation.

Commit to 36 hours per 6-week schedule
Hours are not guaranteed
Work 1 holiday during commitment period (if applicable)
Work at the Killeen facility with minimum competency to work 1 area/unit
Reports to CTX CSO department leaders
May request 1-week unpaid vacation during commitment period. Must provide manager 4 weeks’ notice for vacation requests

The role you’ll contribute:

The AdventHealth Central Texas department of Maternal Child Health is divided into 4 areas. We have a 22-bed Couplet Care/gyn surgical unit, which consists of post-partum mothers and their newborns, GYN surgical patients, and occasional med/surg overflow, Labor and Delivery and Nursery/Special Care Nursery.

Participates in providing patient specific care standards as directed and follows service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction. Position requires experience in a specialty area of obstetrical clinical nursing activities in the areas of OB, Post-partum/Couplet Care, Antepartum, OB Operating Room, level one nursery and providing technical nursing support to nursing staff to ensure patient assessments are skilled and comprehensive care to patients.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

Administers care for the obstetrical patient having surgical procedure in the Labor & Delivery Operating Suite.
Intraoperative and post anesthesia care is in accordance with Hospital established standards of care. Performs steam sterilization processing of instruments and supplies for the MCH unit in accordance with Hospital standards for sterilization.
Assists with the care of the newborn at deliveries.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

A graduate of an accredited school of nursing or degree program
Current Texas RN License or a Compact RN License from a NCLA Compact State
