Job Description - Director Clinical Operations Surgical Services (24032190)
Position Overview:
The Director of Clinical Operations has 24-hour accountability, authority, and responsibility for operational management of Surgical Services for the Main OR. The Director fosters the integration of the organization’s vision and values and accomplishes the mission and strategic plan for Surgical Services through an accountable work team. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Director collaborates with patients/customers, families, physicians, administration, and associates to meet customer needs and expectations in a patient-focused and healing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership direction to staff, patients, and all members of the OR teams.
- Establish goals and priorities for teams and direct efforts toward accomplishment of objectives.
- Resolve problems quickly and in a manner that preserves the integrity of those involved.
- Participate in marketing and/or community service activities that enhance the image of AdventHealth Tampa.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, standards of practice, and programs that support the department.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze problems and develop solutions that align with Surgical Services and the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Past leadership experience in OR operations and OR management.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure, Certification or Registration Required:
- Florida Registered Nurse License.
- CPR obtained through the American Heart Association.
