POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Manager is responsible for management of clinical services in the Dialysis Unit. Works closely with the Director and Medical Staff leadership to develop, implement, and maintain clinical and educational programs that enhance the quality of care and achieve a high level of patient and provider satisfaction.
Working as a partner with CHRISTUS St. Vincent quality and operations leaders, this individual has direct accountability to identify, design and implement improvement methodologies grounded in Lean and Six Sigma principles for the development of high performance non-clinical and clinical process improvement at the Regional level. The position supports the CHRISTUS System clinical quality, safety, process improvement efforts, and brings clinical expertise when guiding clinical improvement.
The Process Improvement Leader is responsible for guiding teams in the CHRISTUS model for improvement, which is a blend of performance improvement methodologies including reliability for healthcare. The Process Improvement Leader will work closely with hospital directors and facility medical staff, nurses, and quality/patient safety leaders to identify and ensure best practices are developed, implemented, and hardwired in order to sustain achievements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing. BSN preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: R.N. with current New Mexico State license. BLS and ACLS issued through American Heart Association, and other certification as applicable to area. National certification in area of expertise is preferred.
SKILLS: Strong clinical, leadership skills, and previous management experience including experience in facilitating interdisciplinary team collaboration. Evidence of such experience should include:

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years dialysis nursing experience or Certification in Nephrology Nursing is required. Two years progressive management experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Subject to stressful professional relationships. Working hours vary, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies. Requires the ability to speak, listen, develop and communicate written materials. Ability to lift 50lbs.
