If you are a veterinarian considering a job at Savannah’s Crossing, here are some details you should know:
Salary and Benefits:
We offer ProSal or straight salary, depending on your preference. Experience is a significant factor, but we provide a competitive salary in today’s job market. Benefits include a retirement plan with a match, health insurance stipend, AVMA dues, DEA and Tennessee state license, a $1000 CE allowance, and professional liability insurance.
Time Off:
We offer 12 days of PTO per year. Savannah’s Crossing is closed on major holidays, allowing our team to spend time with their families. We close a ½ day on New Year’s Eve and all day on New Year’s Day, as well as on Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, and the Saturday of the Thanksgiving holiday. For Christmas, we close ½ day on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after Christmas. Additionally, doctors can take an extra day or two off around Christmas for family time, depending on the holiday schedule.
Practice Environment:
We are busy! We prioritize ensuring that doctors get lunch every day and can leave on time to prevent burnout. We do not take walk-ins or perform emergency work unless previously approved by the attending doctor.
At Savannah’s Crossing, we practice high-quality medicine. Our clientele is supportive and often willing to proceed with necessary diagnostics. As a privately owned practice, you have the freedom to practice as you see fit without quotas or production goals.
We maintain a great team environment, averaging 2-3 technicians/assistants per doctor, along with a full client services team. We value positive attitudes and do not tolerate toxic work environments.
Qualifications:
We are looking for a veterinarian with experience who thrives on making decisions. Good communication skills with clients and the veterinary team are essential. The ideal candidate must be able to delegate tasks effectively and maintain a positive attitude in the face of the challenges of veterinary medicine.
