Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Night Shift - Hospitalist (University Hospital)
Overview
We are seeking a patient-focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our close-knit Hospitalist team! The Hospitalist Service at Indiana University, University Hospital cares for a very complex patient population and collaborates with subspecialists to deliver care. Advanced Practice Providers are empowered to practice with autonomy in a supportive environment that fosters learning and career growth.
- Full Time, Night shift
- 3 12-hour shifts, 4p-4a, 6p-6a, or 7a-7p
- Every 3rd rotating weekend commitment
- Rotating holidays
- No call
- Opportunity for extra shifts and coverage at other IU hospitals including Methodist, West, and North
Key Responsibilities:
- Internal medicine inpatient service, overnight admissions, and cross coverage.
- Complex adult patient population; Hepatology/GI/Transplant/Oncology/BMT -- Collaborating with multiple subspecialty services.
- Complete H&P and initiate treatment; Answer call on established patients in-house and evaluate as needed; Evaluate patients' post-procedure/surgery.
- Medicine consults for subspecialty services.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree required
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA Certification required
- 1-2 years of experience preferred
- If new grad, Internal Medicine rotation required
- If NP, RN critical care experience required
