We are a team-oriented, AAHA accredited 3 doctor practice looking for a Veterinary Technician to add to our fantastic team. Candidate Requirements:

Outgoing personality, with strong communication skills
Ability to lift 50 pound animal and sit on floor/kneel during restraint

Duties include:

Venipuncture (placing IV catheters, and collecting samples for labwork)
Running diagnostic testing in house; preparing samples for reference lab
Taking radiographs — digital full body as well as dental
Dental care (cleaning/scaling and polishing teeth)
Inducing and monitoring anesthesia
Surgical suite maintenance (wrapping surgery packs, sterilizing instruments)
Working with specialists (orthopedic, radiologist and cardiologist)
Running scheduled technician appointments for vaccinations, nail trims, anal gland expressions, blood draws, etc.
Client communication: making calls to clients for updates on patient status, informing clients of normal lab results, explaining treatments and medications
