SUMMARY
This person is responsible for obtaining new business for the hotel mainly focusing on corporate contracted rooms, groups, conventions, and other large, organized events in the city that would be looking for lodging. In addition, this person is responsible for building and maintaining relationships in the marketplace with business and civic organizations that will benefit from our product and location. Finally, this person will be key in building and maintaining our public reputation locally, nationally, and online.
The position includes up to 5% incentives for all direct-booked business and other sales incentives based on improving specific market segments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for identifying, establishing, and maintaining group and corporate lead sources.
- Work with the Choice brand resources for new technology and lead sources, maintaining the direct relationship with Choice Corporate sales and contract corporate booking sources.
- Attends meetings and networking opportunities that could lead to business for the hotel. Establish a relationship with the ACVB and local sales manager community.
- Implement and monitor sales channel status and lead status.
- Provides creative campaigns to promote the hotel to new markets.
- Develop a comprehensive marketing plan that can be used as a measuring tool to include:
- Identify, evaluate, and implement a new CRM.
- Establish a clear overview of Clarion Inn and Suites market position and future goal.
- Work with GM and Operation team to improve the positioning of the hotel.
- Provide a list of Strategic and marketing tools for potential growth opportunities at hotel and Time frame associated with strategies outline as 30, 60, and 90 strategic goals for the marketing plan.
- Identify and recommend new business opportunities and exact sources.
- Evaluate and recommend property improvements or changes needed with the hotel.
- Provide proposed expected budget and recommended improvements.
- Analyze and provide expected financial impact of the plan, along with both expected expense and revenue.
- Assist with Sales Goal Plan
- Assist Management with the development of the Annual Sales Goals for the rest of the year.
- Develop and present 2024 revenue target and sales goal/incentive plan.
- Identify a start-up budget for marketing collateral and any online marketing spend.
- Ensure that all groups and leads are recorded within a CRM and booked directly through the hotel.
- Performs work in a safe manner and actively encourages others to comply with safety rules and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This person should have a sales and managerial background with excellent customer relation skills with at least 3 years of experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
