Nurse Manager
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with rotating on-call every 7-8 weeks
Hillcrest Health Services is looking for a Nurse Manager to join our established nursing team at Hillcrest Health and Rehab! This is a salaried position pending experience and education.
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the clinical coordination of the long term care and memory support unit totaling 57 beds as well as supervising team members within those units. This position would also oversee the Restorative Program.

What does a day in the life look like?
- Responsible to participate in the oversight of daily and ongoing staffing.
- Responsible to attend daily multidisciplinary stand up meeting and to bring to the meeting any items that need follow up by members of the team.
- Responsible to complete, at least once daily, rounds on all patients on the neighborhood.
- Assure that the neighborhood is prepared for new admits, including equipment in the room, nurse manager has received a nurse to nurse report from the hospital, team members are prepared to meet the new patient on arrival.
- Ensure that care paths are being implemented on the neighborhood and that the tools are being analyzed and updated as needed.
What should I have to be considered?
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- At least two years’ experience in a skilled nursing, acute or post-acute setting required.
- At least two years’ supervisory experience in a skilled nursing, acute or post-acute setting preferred.
- Must be licensed in the state of Nebraska or compact state as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification by the AHA required.
- RAC-CT certification preferred.
