Description
Seeking a Chemist with a primary focus on conducting NVR, TOC, FTIR, and RP-HPLC testing for Extractables and Leachables studies in a GMP environment. A secondary focus will be on performing extractions, assisting with sample preparations, and lab maintenance activities such as glassware cleaning, hazardous waste disposal, and order receipt. Experience with Empower, TOC-Control, and Omnic instrument software is preferred.
The candidate should carry a Bachelor’s Degree in a Science and at least two years of professional laboratory experience at a minimum.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate must be able to follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols.
- Also, the candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of the laboratory equipment and instruments.
- The position will require timely handling of data, report generation, maintenance of laboratory worksheets, and updating equipment calibration records.
- Comprehensive reading and writing of the English language is necessary.
- Will require safe and proper handling of various chemicals and must be able to read and understand SDS sheets.
- Meticulous attention to details and safe work practices are necessary.
- Must be able to work well in a group or individually as duty necessitates.
Qualifications
The candidate needs 2-3 years of experience in HPLC, FT-IR, and TOC, etc., and must be capable of running a project independently within a regulated environment.
