Job Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing the general care coordination needed for roughly 30 patients per day assigned to their unit. The Radiation Therapist Lead will have scheduling and clinical oversight of their assigned treatment unit. Under the direction of the Radiation Oncology Manager, the Radiation Therapist Lead will be responsible for the personnel guidance of other Radiation Therapists on their team, resource maintenance, and care coordination between patients, staff, and providers. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an R.T. (T) in a progressive Radiation Oncology Department is required.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelor of Science Degree from an ARRT Certified Radiation Therapy program is required. Staff hired into the role prior to 1/1/21 who do not have a Bachelor's degree require a minimum of 5 years of previous Radiation Therapist experience.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Certified as a RT (T) Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required.
