Main function:
- Manages and develops a team of breast imaging staff, including technologists, patient navigators, and support staff. Conducts orientation to ensure they are equipped with necessary knowledge and skills to perform their role. Participates in staff performance evaluations and development of team members including performance improvement plans and disciplinary action.
- Responsible for MQSA, ACR Quality Program, and for all Joint Commission standards as they apply to Mammography, Diagnostic Navigation, and Breast Ultrasound. Collects and submits monthly quality data.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines and accreditation standards; responsible for securing and maintaining ACR accreditation.
- Monitors patient satisfaction metrics and implements strategies to enhance patient experience.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Assists in budget planning and monitoring.
- Leads regular staff meetings and one-on-one team member discussions.
- Performs functions of technologist or front office as needed and as qualified.
- Promotes teamwork and positive interactions within the Center and with others including management, radiologists, and referring providers.
- Orders and maintains supply inventory for the site.
- Reports system outages and coordinates repairs and service.
- Demonstrates high-quality work standards, complies with Hospital policies/requirements of employment.
- Maintains responsibility for attendance to ensure that the Center is operated in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Contributes to the mission of the organization by supporting the Planetree Model of Care and Organizational Goals.
- Collaborates with the Diagnostic Imaging Technical Manager and IT team on integration and implementation of peripheral applications.
Education:
B.S degree required.
ARRT (R)(M) required with CT state license; additional breast credential preferred in Sonography or Navigation.
CPR certification required.
Experience:
5-10 years Mammography experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role preferred. Digital and 3D Mammography experience required.
