Job Summary and Qualifications:
What You Will Do In This Role:
- Demonstrates skill in providing patient assessment that is complete, timely, and identifies the patient’s loss of function.
- Determines goals for the patient that are functional, specific, measurable, and attainable.
- Develops a therapeutic plan of care that maximizes the patient’s functional potential considering the patient’s cultural and religious practices, emotional barriers, desire and motivation to learn, physical and cognitive limitations, language barriers, and the financial implications of care choices.
- Proficiently provides treatment with skills that are relevant, effective, and in accordance with accepted professional standards.
- Accepts responsibility for mastery of those competency skills identified for the job requirements (refer to competency skills checklist).
- Knowledgeable of the implementation and overseeing of the rehabilitation, diabetes, wound care, and restorative services to assume the highest quality possible.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy, or a Master of Science or Master of Arts in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of one year of related experience in leadership.
- Licensed as a Therapist in the State of Texas.
- 3 years of experience required.
