Look no further! TeamHealth is currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate NP or PA to work part-time (2-3 days a week) in skilled nursing facilities in the Port Orchard, Washington area. As a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the skilled nursing facility setting you will experience:
- A Diverse Patient Population: Skilled nursing facilities provide clinicians with the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or in need of rehabilitation.
- An Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Working in a skilled nursing facility allows clinicians to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, enhancing patient care by incorporating different perspectives and expertise.
- Long-Term Relationships: Clinicians in skilled nursing facilities have the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with patients and their families, leading to better continuity of care and improved patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform primary care in a post-acute setting for short-term and long-term patients.
- Manage chronic disease, diagnose illnesses and medical conditions, and implement a plan of care.
- Order and interpret lab results.
- Prescribe and monitor medications.
- Consult with physicians and coordinate patient care with other healthcare practitioners.
- Educate patients and their caregivers on coping skills to handle chronic and age-related conditions.
- Build relationships with your patients, patients' family members, and facility staff to facilitate effective treatment delivery.
- Promote healthy lifestyle changes.
Requirements:
- New grads welcome to apply.
- 6+ months experience in primary care a plus.
- Post-acute care experience a plus, but not required.
- Active and unrestricted Washington NP or PA license required.
- Active and unrestricted Washington DEA with prescriptive authority required.
Our compensation is a productivity-based model (Fee for Service) that offers you control to maximize your income potential. Expected compensation is estimated salary range of $57,000 to $86,000 annually with no cap on productivity income potential. This part-time role is not benefit eligible.
