Responsibilities
Wilmot Cancer Institute is looking for a registered nurse to join our established team at the Lattimore Blood and Coagulation Disorders Center. No weekends or on-call requirements. This nurse will be specially trained to provide infusion care for patients with blood disorders such as:
- Von Willebrand disease
- Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura
- Hemoglobinopathies
- Anemia
- Sickle Cell Disease
- Myelodysplastic Syndromes
- Bleeding Disorders
Skills needed for this position include good communication, dedication, and a desire to work cohesively with colleagues. Seeking a nurse with strong IV placement skills, and someone comfortable flexing to meet the needs of our patients and practice. The 8-10-week orientation is focused on competency in the infusion center. Our experienced infusion team will provide feedback, resources, and guidance to be successful by the end of your orientation. The nurses on this team have a skillset of explaining highly technical lab abnormalities in ways that are easily understood by our patients and their families.
Hematology nurses are detail-focused, skilled at assessing labs, coordinating care, treating a variety of disease processes, and assisting in procedures. The nurse will work closely with an established group of nurses, Apps, and Physicians.
Qualifications
Requires a Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience. This position assumes the charge nurse role, actively participates in unit/service activities, supports co-workers, and assesses unit needs.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $35.35 - $45.96 Hourly
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range, considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
