The role you’ll contribute:
The Nurse Educator is responsible for meeting the educational and developmental needs of nursing staff to ensure that nursing staff have knowledge and skills to provide high quality, competent care of patients and their families. The educator facilitates the acquisition and application of clinical knowledge and decision-making skills by unit nurses and other health care partners who provide care to the patient and family. The educator works in partnership with other educators, staff members, Clinical Nurse Specialists, vendors, physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the following areas: orientation of new employees, preceptor selection/training/evaluation, inservice development and presentation, competency program implementation, education coordination function/structures, and other programs as defined. The educator will assess, develop, implement and evaluate individualized and group education needs/activities/outcomes.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Kansas Registered Nurse License
- BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- 2 Years of Position-Related Experience
