Position Summary
Performs data entry and processing of biological indicator spore strip tests in a high-volume culture lab. Primarily serving the dental industry, B.I. spore strip tests are used in autoclave performance testing for sterility assurance.

Duties
- Sorts and labels test envelopes and perform data entry based on information provided in the envelope
- Aseptically transfer spore strips into test tubes
- Operates fill machines and ensures proper media fill into tubes, including setup and breakdown
- Follows SOPs to ensure appropriate incubation protocol
- Removes samples from incubators and visually examines for bacterial growth
- Routine cleaning of laboratory glassware and equipment
- Daily monitoring of incubator temperatures
- Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to counting and opening test envelopes, cleaning the work area, processing media, restocking supplies, participating in the onboarding and training/cross-training of lab technicians within your area(s) of capability.
Required Experience
Pay range for this opportunity is $15.99 - $22.33. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
