The MRI Technologist will be responsible for delivering exceptional MR imaging services to patients at our New York clinic, ensuring accurate, high-quality diagnostic images while prioritizing patient care and comfort throughout the process.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Interpret and follow physician orders accurately, ensuring clarity and adherence to best practices
- Clearly explain procedures, medications, or contrast media to patients, addressing their purpose, effects, and ensuring patient understanding and comfort
- Review patient history and MR safety assessments to ensure a safe and high-quality imaging experience
- Position patients appropriately and perform MR scans in accordance with physician specifications
- Maintain clear communication with patients during procedures to ensure comfort and reduce anxiety
- Insert IV catheters, prepare contrast, and operate power injectors per protocol
- Evaluate scan images for quality, label and document them according to standards
- Clean, maintain, and operate MRI equipment, collaborating with application specialists as needed
- Assist in the education and training of clinical staff
- Collaborate with radiologists to develop and troubleshoot protocols and imaging techniques
- Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Active AMRIT certification
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Proven experience as a MRI Technologist, with a strong understanding of MRI imaging principles and protocols
- Experience with PACS systems (AMBRA preferred)
- Deep familiarity with MRI equipment (Siemens preferred)
- Experience with Whole Body MRI preferred
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, biology and chemistry and how to administer IVs
- Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, including magnet safety and contrast agent administration
- Excellent oral communication for addressing patient questions and collaborating with the care team
- Organizational and math skills for managing supplies, contrast administration, and inventory
- Strong problem-solving and observational skills for troubleshooting equipment and ensuring image quality
- Proficiency in operating MRI equipment, G-suite, and health information systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive patient information
- Exceptional bedside manner and ability to work effectively with diverse individuals
