Sport Medicine Physician for Athletic Edge Sports Medicine in Richmond Hill
September 2024
We’re looking for a friendly, empathic, skilled and easy-going individual to join our team.
Your role will include primary care sports medicine as well as consultation medicine. In that role you’ll see a wide variety of patients and problems, from our elite junior athletes to seniors in the community. You’ll have the opportunity to do viscosupplement and PRP injections, with or without ultrasound, with support from our RN.
You will have the opportunity to provide coverage at the amateur sport level, to gain experience in on-field medicine. You’ll have mentoring opportunities with me, as an Assistant Professor and longtime teacher in Sport Medicine.
We run a cloud based EMR system so you can chart from anywhere, and we strive to be as paperless as possible. We offer competitive remuneration and a collegial environment.
Athletic Edge Sports Medicine was established in 2007, and operated in the downtown core for over 15 years. AESM Richmond Hill opened in March of 2021, and I currently have a 5 month wait list for new patients. We are receiving direct referrals from the ER at Mackenzie Health as well as from a substantial number of family doctors in the neighbourhood.
We’re located close to Highway 404 and Highway 7, in a 1500 square foot ground floor space with lots of natural light. There is free outdoor parking for staff and clients, and we’re steps away from some of the best restaurants in town!
If you’re interested in learning more about this opportunity, please submit your CV to grant@aesm.ca .
Thanks.
