The Behavioral Health AR Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of all Behavioral Health Accounts Receivable including: Butler Hospital, The Providence Center, CNEMG Behavioral, and other operating unit behavioral clinics. The Behavioral Health AR Manager is responsible for oversight of the following: Billing and Collections, Patient Insurance, Data Processing, and Integrity of Patients. This includes personnel as well as task supervision. The goal is to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving patient, physician, and other customer relations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring CNE hospitals adhere to Federal, State, and local regulations related to patient billing and collections.
- Manages and directs the responsibilities of the third-party liability team by providing leadership and serving as a resource to evaluate and identify strategies for problem-solving.
- Develop and maintain specific training materials for all Accounts Receivable workflows.
- Works in conjunction with the Supervisory Leadership to implement collection objectives.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all dealings related to patients, physicians, accounts, fellow employees, and CNE business operations.
- Accesses patient medical records as required to provide appropriate information for billing resolutions.
- Assist in report generation for Facility VPF’s and Finance.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement in the CNE A/R through collaboration with the CNE Revenue Cycle executive management team.
- Ensures accurate and timely billing, collections, and payment posting for third-party patient claims for the CNE hospitals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; or a combination of education and experience.
- Five years’ experience in facility billing with at least three years management experience in a billing office.
- Demonstrates experience and expertise with Insurance A/R systems and efficient PC skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in insurance claims processing as well as CPT and ICD-9 coding skills required.
- Must be able to demonstrate success in yielding significant results.
- Must have excellent communication skills, demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment, and effectively lead teams in common work processes and established goals.
