Job Summary:
Physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation to serve as a member of the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation within the Department of Internal Medicine. Responsibilities include directing and providing direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, conducting ambulatory clinics, interviewing and reviewing medical history of patients, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic testing, prescribing treatment plans, documenting services in medical records, educating patients, and participating in quality assessment activities.
Required Qualifications:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Internal Medicine required; active certification from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) required. Completion of an accredited residency in internal medicine and a fellowship training program in physical medicine and rehabilitation required. Advanced training or board certification in Pain Management.
