Job Description:
Corner marshals are responsible for ensuring the track is a safe environment for drivers of all vehicles on the race track. Positioned at various points around the track, they use a combination of flag and radio communication to inform both drivers and Race Control of the current track conditions.
Essential Functions:
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
- Use flags to communicate track conditions to vehicles on the race track.
- Use radios to communicate track conditions to Race Control.
- Use good judgement to determine safe vs. unsafe track conditions.
Requirements:
- Candidate must be flexible on hours, able to work weekends and non-regular hours.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
- Though Part Time shifts are full day shifts.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and listen.
- Ability to sit, stand, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but is loud during events.
- Weekday availability preferred.
