The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Director of Primary Care and Technology-Based Mental Health Research Projects to join our team. This position is responsible for the oversight and implementation of objectives, tasks, and milestones for all components of two parallel depression prevention research studies: the Path to Purpose (P2P) and Pathway research studies. Both are free, voluntary programs for teenagers who want to improve their mood and learn coping skills to manage difficult situations.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the principal investigators to oversee the studies and help plan future studies.
- Manage operations related to research ethics activities including preparation of IRB and DSMB related documents.
- Prepare reports for funding agencies including PCORI and NIMH.
- Assist principal investigators in overseeing safety of participants.
- Responsible for the smooth operation of the study on a day-to-day basis.
- Oversight of completion of goals, milestones, and tasks as outlined in the project milestones plan.
- Lead efforts to monitor and report progress and outcomes for the project to principal investigator and other project members.
- Lead study team efforts for communication and problem-solving by coordinating regular study team meetings.
- Engage stakeholders to collect and communicate research requirements.
- Oversee disability cultural literacy training and associated policies to maximize diversity and inclusion efforts.
- Facilitate partnerships across various research sites/entities.
- Oversight of recruitment, screening, and tracking study subjects.
- Collaborate with Project Investigators to coordinate data collection measures and protocols.
- Participate in the development and implementation of project tracking systems.
- Recruit, supervise, and evaluate project staff.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required. PhD preferred.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LCP), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) preferred.
- A minimum of five years of professional level research experience required.
- Knowledge of NIH and PCORI funding mechanisms and reporting requirements.
- Knowledge with IRB processes and compliance.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage large projects independently.
