Who We Are:
Our team of occupational nurses provide a variety of nursing care and perform medical surveillance monitoring to maintain the safety and to maximize the overall health of our employees.
Objectives of this Role:
- Responsible for providing primary and emergency care of occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries to our employees.
- Perform the required health monitoring and screening tests for specified programs such as drug/alcohol testing and hearing tests.
- Perform clinical duties and assist the physician as needed.
- Comply with OSHA regulations and standards.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Ability to multi-task and possess strong clinical skills.
- Assist the clinic physician, triage patients, perform EKGs, lab draws, injections, provide treatment and referrals as directed.
- Ability to respond to medical emergencies; arrange for patients to be transported to local medical facilities.
- Evaluate and treat injuries and illnesses in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of practice and consistent with clinical guidelines.
- Maintain close communication with the nurse manager, Environmental Health and Safety, and Human Resources.
- Responsible for monitoring the health, well-being, and safety of our employees.
- Establish safety and health standards that conform with the regulations set forth by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
- Support Environmental Health and Safety, Operations, and Human Resources in injury prevention, health surveillance, and prevention of potential hazards in the work environment.
Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelor's in Nursing.
- 2-6 years of experience working in a clinical setting. Must perform tasks effectively while handling multiple priorities. ICU and emergency nursing or related experience handling medical emergencies preferred.
- 2-6 years of experience interacting with staff members and health professionals.
- 2-6 years of knowledge of nursing standards and protocols in an occupational setting; worker's compensation, OSHA regulations, occupational disease.
- Registered Nurse license and CPR certification.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
