We are hiring a Nursing Supervisor to join our dynamic care team at Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Worcester!

As the nursing supervisor, you direct the total nursing care activities in the facility during each shift of duty under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
Experience & Education:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN in this state.
- Must be CPR certified.
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
- Participate in developing, updating, and communicating residents' care plans.
- Ensure staff implements care plans and recognizes changes in resident status.
- Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under care.
- Follow physician’s orders and assist with complete nursing care, treatments, and dressings.
- Transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately.
- Review patient records daily for accuracy and completeness.
- Document comprehensive nursing notes.
- Maintain awareness of residents on alert list and conduct RN assessments as needed.
- Document and report any unusual findings; contact the physician when necessary.
- Administer medication according to procedure if applicable.
- Initiate emergency procedures as necessary.
- Oversee Charge Nurse and CNA performances.
- Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations.
- Other duties may be assigned by manager.
Specific Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills.
- Must have knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies.
- Must be able to make independent decisions when necessary.
- Must deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and regulations pertaining to long-term care.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.
- Must be able to plan, organize, develop, and implement necessary programs and policies.
- Must have patience, tact, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
- Must communicate effectively regarding emergency situations.
