Medical Laboratory Technician - FT All Shifts
Exceptional Healthcare is seeking Medical Lab Technicians to join its team in Lubbock, TX.
Job Duties:
- Areas of testing include: hematology, chemistry, coagulation, immunoassay, urinalysis, point of care, and blood banking.
- Uses automated equipment and specialized instrumentation to prepare samples for analysis to aid the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.
- Manages daily workload within the department to ensure patient testing is completed timely.
- Reviews quality control results prior to reporting patient results and takes corrective action when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have an Associate's degree in medical technology, chemistry, physical, or biological science.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- ASCP certified or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of hospital laboratory experience.
- Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, including infection control requirements, chemical and biological hazards.
- Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies and standards.
