Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Electrophysiology Piedmont Heart Institute
Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI), located in the heart of Atlanta, is recruiting for a full-time Cardiac Electrophysiology Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our Advance Practice Provider Electrophysiology Clinics in the North corridor including locations predominantly in Jasper, Canton, and Ellijay with occasional Blairsville clinic. This is a full-time Outpatient position, Monday - Friday ONLY. No hospital coverage.

We are seeking knowledgeable, highly motivated, and dedicated APPs who have a strong desire to work in an autonomous yet collaborative environment.
Our APPs independently provide specialized care for patients pre and post electrophysiology procedures including but not limited to EP study, ablations (CTI, PVI, AVNRT, SVT, VT, etc.), CIED implantation, LAAO implant, and provide recognition/management of diverse cardiac arrhythmias in routine and complex patient populations. As an Electrophysiology APP, you will also become competent in device interrogation and interpretation. This position will require decision-making skills, as ideal candidates will have experience with limited supervision and work well independently in a clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Performs high-quality patient assessment and management, under indirect physician supervision, in accordance with federal and state regulations, practicing evidence-based medicine.
- Willing to travel to clinic sites predominantly at Jasper, Canton, and Ellijay locations with occasional clinics in Blairsville.
- Manage patient care by alternating clinic visits with respective electrophysiologist assigned to each clinic.
- Manages direct patient care autonomously on designated outpatient clinics and associated follow-up with indirect Electrophysiologist supervision as needed.
- Orders and schedules diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient care services are delivered.
- Willing to participate in trials & undergo appropriate training.
- Manages patients in trials with respective electrophysiologist.
- Works 40 hours per week (choose either between four-10 hour days OR five 8 hour days with administrative time built into schedule).
- Willing to travel to PAH for training.
- Participates in training of APPs and nurses.
- Demonstrates teamwork by communicating effectively and working cooperatively with all members of the healthcare team, including multiple electrophysiologists.
- Displays respect and fosters an appreciation towards all members of the PHI team.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
- Board Certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
- Holds current license from the Georgia State Composite Board.
- BLS / ACLS certified.
- Minimum 2 years of general cardiology or 1 year of prior EP experience.
