Warehouse Labor - Pallet Repair Technician / Pallet Sorter

Hourly Pay: $16.00/hr.
Shift(s):
- B1: 6:00am - 4:00pm Tues - Fri
- B2: 4:00pm - 2:00am Tues - Fri
- A1: 6:00am - 6:00pm Sat - Mon
Summary
The Pallet Repair Technician takes damaged pallets sent from our customers and returns them to service-ready condition, before consolidating and shipping them back to the customer. Must achieve expected production requirements while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Must be comfortable operating tools used to complete repairs, including but not limited to:
- Manual & electric saws
- Hammer
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Must be accountable for achieving Relogistics results while maintaining Relogistics Core Values and Safety Standards.
- Ability to complete all production paperwork with accuracy.
- Utilizes appropriate tools and methods to return damaged pallets to service-ready condition.
- Communicates directly with Shift Lead or On Site / Plant Manager.
- Examining products after repairing to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Ability to maintain Relogistics efficiency and performance standards of production.
- Must maintain a clean & safe working environment that meets Relogistics standards.
- Repair the given number of pallets, once training is complete.
- Expected to be able to work without constant supervision to achieve production quotas in the repair area, safely.
If required to also load pallets
- Hand stacking pallets to appropriate heights.
- Loading and unloading materials from trailers by hand.
- Moving pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
- Stacking pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions.
- Checking loads to make sure they are secure.
- Ability to utilize yard management systems to coordinate trailers moves.
Education and/or Experience
- Demonstrated experience safely operating air-driven, electric, and manual woodworking tools.
- High school degree or GED required.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardized requirements exist.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills needed.

- Repetitively lift up to 85 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in time.
- Having a good sense of balance.
- Having good eye-hand-foot coordination.
- Constant standing, bending, and twisting.
- Ability to work overtime when needed.

The noise level in the work environment usually requires hearing protection and always requires safety glasses. Due to the nature of the work, safety shoes are also a mandatory requirement. The ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to; elements, heat, cold, and air particulate. Safety glasses and steel-toed boots are required for this job.
