Pershing General Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team. This is a PRN opportunity to pick up a minimum of 2-4 days a month. The coverage need is semi-flexible and could be weekdays or weekends, depending on the PRN Tech's availability. Overnight accommodations can be provided as needed.
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic examinations, producing high-quality diagnostic images, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrates effective skills with communication, organization, and management of assigned work.
- Performs diagnostic exams independently to physician’s orders using correct modalities to assure accurate and optimal diagnostic results.
- Retrieves and returns patients to the appropriate area and prepares the room for the next study in a timely fashion with a friendly customer service attitude.
- Records appropriate patient information and maintains all records according to established guidelines. Performs regular quality control checks and required paperwork as necessary to comply with regulatory standards.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff, including the ALARA Concept as prescribed by PGH, NAC, and applicable standards of care.
- Demonstrates a basic understanding of Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance in the organization.
- Demonstrates knowledge of radiation safety procedures, exposure factors, and restraint methods to ensure quality of patient care.
