Overview
The RN Charge Nurse will be responsible for coordinating the nursing care on their shift. Responsible for overseeing ER patient flow, the focus will be on providing a safe, effective environment for patients and staff through increased communication and customer service.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS:
Supervised by: Director of Critical Care Services
Supervisor of: RN’s, LVN’s, Monitor Techs/Unit Secretaries, and E.R. Tech’s
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification.
- Must have one year experience in Emergency Department.
- Competent to perform services in triage, fast track (RTA), and main E.D.
- Management of Assaultive Behavior completed within 90 days of hire.
- Dysrhythmia certification.
- Current NIHSS certification, or within 90 days of employment.
- 4-hour Stroke class within first 90 days of employment.
