Saint Agnes Medical Providers (SAMP) and Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC) have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Surgical Services team located in Fresno, California.
APP responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process.
- Manage the care of assigned patients and directing the activities of ancillary nursing staff.
- Interact with patients and their families and collaborate with other health team providers to render quality care.
Requirements for this opportunity include:
- Graduate of an accredited PA/NP program.
- RNFA required (for NPs)
- Current Physician Assistant licensure or Nurse Practitioner certification in the state of California.
- DEA certification.
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare professionals (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-focused care.
- Two years of experience in acute, primary, or specialty care management or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PAs or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) for NPs.
- One year experience as surgical first assist.

This physician led group specializes in Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Occupational Health, Orthopedic Surgery, Surgical Services, and Urgent Care.
