DESCRIPTION
Under the general supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, the Outpatient Pharmacy Technician III performs a full range of duties in a retail pharmacy setting and is able to perform all general tasks in all areas of the pharmacy. They will assist the pharmacist in the preparation of medications for patient use according to established procedures; facilitate the distribution of medications including delivery of medications to the patient's bedside (Med-2-Bed program); perform computer order entry, record keeping, and billing functions; maintain inventory levels; and perform other duties as assigned. Will perform assigned operational duties in a scheduled area and will assist pharmacists in completing medication orders and related distribution duties in different pharmacy areas.
Depending on experience and licensure of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the Pharm Tech II or Pharm Tech III.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
- Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
- Minimum of three-five (3-5) years of retail experience is required.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology and calculations.
- Proficient computer experience and accurate data entry skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Meds To Beds Program or equivalent.
- At least 2 years experience with medication ordering and inventory management or equivalent.
- 340b regulatory knowledge and background.
- Comfortable with public speaking and able to promote a justifiable position.
- Flexible to address any pharmacy need that may arise, especially those that are unexpected or sudden.

- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $64,519 - $80,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $30.90 - $38.41
