Pediatrician to join an extremely busy private practice – Northwest Pennsylvania!!

Medical Center is seeking a BE/BC Pediatrician to join an extremely busy private practice. It is the sole pediatrics practice in the community, allowing the incoming physician stability and support. The physician can expect a call of 1:4 (moving to 1:5) and to see an average of about 20-30 patients each day.

The ideal candidate is a licensed professional prepared in a pediatric residency program who manages actual and potential health problems based on the area of specialty. The health conditions include common, complex and/or advanced diseases needing intensive medical supervision of the prescribed treatment plan. This physician practices independently and interdependently by collaborating with mid-level providers, community health nurses, and other health care providers in and around the area.

Medical Center is a 249-bed regional medical center with a service area of 100,000, offering our community members the highest quality medical treatment and patient care with a medical staff of over 140 representing 37 medical and surgical specialties. The "low risk" level one nursery and New Life Unit at the Medical Center see approximately 550-600 births each year. The six-bed pediatric unit has an average inpatient census of about 15 patients each month, with most stays averaging two days.
