About the Hospital and Department:
- Non-profit 350+ bed hospital that has served its community for over 50 years
- Position will manage the day to day operations of the Surgical Services Department that performs over 7500 surgeries annually
- Specialties include: Orthopedic, Trauma, Cardiothoracic, Neuro, Plastics, Uro, General, GYN, and GI
- Well supported by a team of 90+ FTE's including a team of Assistant Nurse Managers and Charge Nurses
About the Nurse Manager, Surgery Position:
This is a highly autonomous role that will focus on the daily operations of the department. You will also provide mentoring to your staff, ensure collaborative and positive physician relationships, create and implement process improvements, and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. Our ideal candidate will possess the heart of a servant leader and should be able to build and maintain positive relationships across all levels.
Qualifications & Requirements for Nurse Manager, Surgical Services:
- BSN required / Master's preferred
- RN active license required
- CNOR strongly preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of progressive surgical services leadership experience at Coordinator / Supervisor / Manager level or above in an inpatient surgical services setting
- Minimum five (5) years of operating room nursing experience (hospital based)
- INSPIRATIONAL and COLLABORATIVE leadership style
- Strong focus on quality, patient safety, staff and collaborating across all levels to ensure and obtain the best patient outcomes
