Neonatal Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Per Diem) - Kingston, NY
Summary:
Do you consider yourself a highly skilled and compassionate Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a passion for providing critical care to our most vulnerable patients? HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, NY is seeking dedicated and experienced Neonatal APPs (Advanced Practice Providers) to join our team on a per diem basis, offering on-call support for neonatal emergencies.
Responsibilities:
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations.
- Provide expert care and rapid response to neonatal emergencies in the NICU and delivery room.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize and manage critically ill neonates.
- Perform advanced procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and resuscitation.
- Assess and monitor the health of neonates, making swift decisions to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with families, providing compassionate support and clear explanations during critical situations.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and possess an applicable New York State license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in neonatal care or NICU.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
