Brainscape, a leading AI-powered study platform with > 9 million users, is seeking a Learning Sciences Research Intern to help us modernize and propagate the messaging around our method's scientific foundations.
The ideal candidate is a graduate student with a deep interest in the learning sciences and a desire to apply their skills to a fast-growing EdTech startup.
You will be working directly with our CEO and Marketing department for about 10-15 hours per week and will gain visibility into many aspects of building a company in the education space.
While most of the work for this position will be remote, we would prefer a candidate in or near the NYC area for occasional team meetups. The internship will be compensated with a small stipend and will have potential to be extended into a longer-term employment opportunity in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Synthesize marketing-friendly nuggets from Brainscape's white paper & articles
- Help proliferate these small research-backed insights via marketing channels
- Contribute to the design of a new Research section of our website
- Identify thought leaders in fields related to Brainscape's core learning principles
- Monitor newly published research and craft Brainscape's reactions to it
- Connect & discuss this research with thought leaders on social media & forums
Qualifications
- Work toward a graduate degree in education and/or cognitive science
- Deep interest in learning & memory
- Passion for optimizing study skills using modern technology tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
