The Clinical Systems Analyst (EMR) is responsible for all EMRs within the given market utilized by the employed physician practices. This includes but is not limited to: evaluation of new practices per established guidelines, maintaining all practice EMRs in accordance with corporate policies and procedures, training of all new physicians and associates, developing training documentation, evaluating the EMR performance of staff and developing additional training as necessary, keeping current with new features and enhancements and training staff accordingly, analyzing and implementing policies and procedures governing all electronic data entry through the employed physician practices, implementing, training and monitoring the Meaningful Use guidelines, and working with physicians on a regular basis to develop better workflows.
Position Summary:
- Regularly assess the training needs of staff using interviews, surveys, observation, audits, and quality improvement data and facilitates the development of departmental training goals.
- Consults with department directors and managers on problems that can be solved through training.
- Facilitates training and orientation of new hires.
- Serves as an instructor for a variety of training programs when qualified. Coordinates external professional training if needed.
- Gathers and makes available appropriate training resources (e.g., books, DVDs, online resources) for professional development and personal use.
- Gathers and analyzes progress and results from training programs and prepares reports on findings.
Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. - Technical School/2 Years College/Associate’s Degree Required
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- 1-3 years of related experience required, 3-5 preferred
- Physician Office business operation or practice management experience required.
