Essential Functions:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
- Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
- Direct and delegate care to other team members based on education, credentials, and competence.
- Pursue professional development and education to maintain effectiveness.
- Participate in hospital policy, procedure, quality improvement, and safety programs.
Requirements:
Education:
- Degree from an accredited School of Nursing (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum one year of RN experience in an acute care facility (required)
- Experience in post-ICU, trauma, urology, and gynecology care (preferred)
Credentials:
- Valid State of Oregon Nursing License (required)
- Basic Life Support Certification (required upon hire)
Skills:
- Ability to apply age-specific care principles.
- Foster positive interpersonal relationships and a patient-centered environment.
- Support and interpret hospital policies and procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Working Conditions:
Physical:
- Patient handling is limited to 35 lbs. without assistance.
- Fine motor skills for medical equipment operation and precise procedures.
- Push/Pull frequently up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to perform CPR with significant force.
- Mobility around the area with frequent sitting.
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and kneeling.
- Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs., frequent lifting up to 5 lbs.
Environmental:
- Exposure to biohazards and airborne particles.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment.
Mental/Visual:
- Normal vision and hearing (corrections permitted).
- Effective communication skills.
