OverviewManage and coordinate the technical operations of Laboratory Services at all UF Health Facilities, to ensure that accurate, adequate and timely laboratory services are provided to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Assist the Administrative Director in the development and implementation of departmental and facility policies and procedures. Oversee the implementation of UF Health Jacksonville Policies and Procedures. Works closely with Laboratory Business Manager, Project Managers to coordinate non-technical laboratory functions. Represent Laboratory Services at meetings and on committees. Prepare appropriate reports on departmental activities. Ensure all regulatory, licensing and accreditation requirements are fulfilled. Perform all assigned duties in a caring and professional manner to serve as a model to create an environment where the patient and the customer are of primary importance.
Qualifications**Histology (strong experience) and Cytology experience**
**Molecular flow**
**Anatomic Pathology - including Cytology and Histology (And those who have gone through a Histo program)**
**Managing up to 25 employees**

**Minimum of three (3) years laboratory leadership experience, such as manager, supervisor, team leader, or specialty technologist with progressive responsibilities.**
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Science (such as biology, chemistry, medical technology, and clinical/medical laboratory science or cytopathology/cytology or other related field) or Master's Degree.
Necessary Skills:
1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
2. Ability to work well under pressure to complete deadlines.
3. Demonstrate appropriate computer skills.
4. Technically competent in principles and procedures of multi laboratory disciplines.
5. Complete understanding of laboratory regulatory issues
Required Licensure/Certifications:
Florida Licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor within 3 months of date of transfer or hire.
Required Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years laboratory leadership experience, such as manager, supervisor, team leader, or specialty technologist with progressive responsibilities.
Preferred Experience:
Three (3) years management level experience

Supervisory Responsibility: Yes
Number of Employees Supervised: Up to 100 employees.
Budgetary Responsibility:
Responsible for annual budget of $10,400,000.00.
Preferred Licensure/Certification(s)::
ASCP, AAB OR AMT certifications relevant to managed disciplines
