About the Role
As a Physical Therapist Assistant in our Senior Services division, you will determine appropriate care and treatment for a geriatric population at a wide range of functional levels. You will maximize the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment or intervention, and rehabilitation. You will create and implement unique treatment plans for the patient’s current level of functioning as well as potential improvement, while demonstrating superior clinical judgment.
What You’ll Do
- Assist physical therapists in providing direct patient care, according to the therapist’s treatment plan.
- Assist patients, as necessary with walking, transferring, and dressing.
- Conduct therapy practice within defined standards of care
- Create fitness and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients’ specific needs; Promote patient’s healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
- Communicate effectively with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Document patient care services via EMR.
- Direct the assistance of support staff as needed to achieve patients’ functional goals.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards as required.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops.
- Provide direction and leadership to staff as required and act as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant on our senior services team, you will enjoy:

- One-on-one, one-hour treatment times with your patients.
- Varied and individualized practice settings - You may meet your patients in their homes or at the facility gym. It all depends upon the needs of your patients.
About You
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active NH Physical Therapist Assistant license.
- Superior customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage and interact positively with a diverse patient population of all ages.
- Drive to continually learn and grow.
