Greater Nashua Mental Health is looking for an IT Clinical Data Analyst to join our IT team! The role of the clinical data analyst involves close collaboration with GNMH staff to collect, structure, and assess crucial data pivotal in appraising patient care quality, recognizing patterns, and elevating the standard of healthcare services rendered within GNMH. This position aims to aid GNMH and its team by employing technological resources to jointly craft and enhance reports, while also guaranteeing adherence to CCBHC and state reporting criteria. Moreover, the Clinical Data Analyst serves as a linchpin in enhancing care coordination by utilizing data insights to streamline communication channels, identify areas for improvement, and optimize workflows across departments. This entails comprehensive documentation of data mapping for metrics and documented processes focused on integrating electronic medical records, document management systems, and reporting functions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for working with clinical and administrative staff to enhance existing reporting systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of clinical data analysis.
- Be the agency expert on clinical metrics and ensure GNMH reporting requirements are met. Review new reporting objectives and collaborate with appropriate GNMH staff to meet new reporting goals.
- Utilize data visualization tools to generate actionable insights and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Collaborate with QI and other teams to implement and maintain data quality assurance processes to uphold the integrity and reliability of clinical data, addressing any discrepancies or anomalies promptly.
- Coordinate with GNMH staff and other members of the IT data team to develop and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating a clear understanding of the impact of clinical data on operational outcomes.
- Provide training and support/documentation to end-users, empowering them to effectively utilize reporting tools.
- Participate in the development and implementation of data-driven initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of our healthcare services and patient outcomes.
- Responsible for maintaining security consistent with regulatory compliance requirements.
- Any other duties and responsibilities consistent with the employees’ education, training, or experience deemed necessary to enhance the functioning of all Departments and Programs within Greater Nashua Mental Health Center as assigned by the supervisor and/or Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Healthcare related field
- 2-3 years of related experiences
- Degree in IT or healthcare related field or a combination of specialized education and/or relevant experience (e.g. MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Research, Analytics, psychology, human services, etc.) required.
- Experience with Information Technology systems in the healthcare environment or financial systems required.
- Experience with report development tools such as Excel, Power BI, Crystal Reports, SQL.
- Knowledge of Windows environments including Microsoft Exchange and SQL server.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, to express ideas clearly and concisely in written and oral form, to exercise initiative and work independently, to exercise sound judgment in analyzing situations and recommending appropriate course of action.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Strong collaborating skills, and an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive.
- Ability to problem solve and exercise judgment.
