What You'll Need:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred.
- 2 years of nursing experience in specialty area required.
- Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care, Adult ED
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire for Network ED, Peds ED, PICU and NICU, and other areas per unit guidelines
- Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required within the department by the nurse leader.
What You'll Do:
- Collect pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer’s health or the situation.
- Analyze the assessment data to determine the actual or potential diagnoses, problem, and issues.
- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
- Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
- Implement the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
- Practice ethically.
- Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
- Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.
- Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice.

Physical Requirements: - Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
