Job Description - Medical Assistant - Part-Time - South (3282919)
Position Overview:
The Medical Assistant will be an integral part of the Healthcare at Home care team, serving the Brigham & Women's Hospital service area. This innovative care delivery model allows patients to receive hospital-level care in their homes.
Schedule: 24 hours - 12 hour Days 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Executive Director of Nursing.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Active participation in patient care, including obtaining vital signs, performing phlebotomy, EKGs, and other relevant procedures.
- Assist patients with visit needs and expedite care during visits.
- Maintain supplies and equipment for the field team.
- Ensure quality, safety, and laboratory check systems in the clinical environment.
- Assist with pre-admission and post-visit follow-up calls as needed.

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations:
Current Basic CPR certification required.
Education:
Minimum of high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Graduate of an MGH approved Medical Assistant program required.
Experience:
6-12 months of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
