The role you’ll contribute:
The Inpatient Wound Care RN will be responsible for Inpatient Wound Care oversight, wound/ostomy consultation and management, monitoring of quality indicators, and staff education. This role will participate in the Pressure Ulcer Prevention Committee and serve as a liaison between the Inpatient and Outpatient wound Care/Hyperbarics programs. This includes, but is not limited to, utilization of skills in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care through the use of hospital and nursing standards.

- Provide initial and ongoing assessment on each assigned wound care patient to include face to face and telephone triage.
- Provide specialized education and schedule referrals as ordered by providers.
- Collaborate with other health care providers, wound care center Physicians, and Program Director.
- Demonstrate proficiency with wound care dressings, edema control and other current proven methodologies.
- Perform screenings per provider guidelines; assist physicians/nurses when needed as required by specialty.
Qualifications:
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school
- At least 1-2 years Wound Care experience required.
- Current BLS
- WOCNCB/CWCN Required and/or Wound Care certification within six (6) months of employment.
