About the job
As a Medical Evidence Generation Lead, you will be responsible for the generation of credible and timely evidence related to vaccine epidemiology, working closely with the Sanofi R&D, other internal, and a coalition of external public health or academic institutions. This will require a strong background in epidemiological and related research methods, deep and nuanced understanding of the clinical profile of Sanofi’s adjuvanted, recombinant COVID-19 vaccine, and other available vaccines, and a creative, scientific mindset to craft an evidence generation plan that will fill priority evidence gaps. This position will require a substantial degree of external engagement with leading scientific stakeholders and policymakers, and reports to the Global Medical Brand Lead, COVID-19 & mRNA Flu.

Job Responsibilities
- Serve as an Evidence Generation authority for Sanofi Medical in infectious diseases and vaccines, with specialized knowledge in COVID-19 vaccines and their differentiation potential.
- Coordinate an internal team in development and implementation of the Integrated Evidence Generation Plan (iEGP), concurrent with transitioning evidence generation activities from Novavax over the next 24 months.
- Generate Medical evidence in accordance with the iEGP including overseeing/conducting analyses and writing abstracts and scientific manuscripts. Deliver world-class study protocols, proposals and plans to support Sanofi’s evidence generation plan.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with international external experts, including researchers, physicians and academics, local and regional bodies (such as US CDC/ECDC) and global bodies (like the WHO).
- Leverage your network to engage in understanding the relevance of identified data gaps and the feasibility of filling them, in line with the Sanofi vision.
- Link critical scientific developments to business needs.
- Provide insights to support clinical development, registration, and market access.
- Educate senior internal executives and broader teams on relevant scientific and medical topics particularly as they relate to vaccine epidemiology and pharmaco-epidemiology.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
About you
- Physician or PhD preferred in vaccines, infectious disease, epidemiology or public health specialization.
- Demonstrated track record of impactful scientific publications and evidence generation in the field of influenza and or COVID-19. 5+ years medical evidence generation or associated functions, with at least 3 years in a regional/global role.
- Strategic thinker with technical ability in study design and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English (French fluency and other languages are advantageous).
