Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Performs all responsibilities of an Advanced Modality Technologist and assumes responsibilities of the Lead Tech in their absence. Assists in the development and training of students and/or new employees. Senior Advanced Modality Technologist must have 3 or more responsibilities within the following categories: hospital/department initiatives, patient experience and employee engagement, quality assurance, process improvement and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
- Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
- Assists with regulatory compliance for the department (ACR, JC). Maintains up-to-date regulatory information. Oversees department quality assurance program under the direction of the Clinical Instructor or Lead/Charge.
- Participates in department or hospital safety/quality process improvements and initiatives. Leads the team in improving patient experience and/or improving employee engagement.
- Mentors new employee and/or clinical students under the direction of the CI.
- BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
