Position Overview:

MLR is looking for a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Sonographer to join our esteemed medical team in Vermont. In this role, you will conduct a range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations while ensuring exceptional patient care and comfort. Key Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, and vascular studies.
Operate ultrasound equipment expertly to provide high-quality imaging and accurate results.
Analyze images to identify any abnormalities, and communicate findings effectively with physicians and healthcare providers.
Educate and support patients throughout the procedure, ensuring they are informed and comfortable.
Maintain detailed patient records and documentation in compliance with medical and legal standards.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and aid in diagnostic decisions.
Follow infection control and safety protocols, as well as departmental procedures.
Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices through continuous education.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a hospital setting is essential.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required.
ARDMS certification is mandatory.
Associate’s degree from an accredited ultrasound program or ARDMS eligible.
BLS certification required.
