Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly and indirectly supervises employees of all departments.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Functions as associate executive of the assigned community and as liaison to executive director, residents, resident families, prospects, staff, government agencies, vendors, and the public.
- Demonstrates exemplary leadership through integrity, compassion, and professional business practices.
- Promotes the physical, psychological, and social well-being of all residents under his or her care.
- Ensures residence building and grounds are maintained in good repair, clean, free of trash and litter.
- Safeguards community and its property from abuse, damage or deterioration and ensures the safety of all residents, staff, and visitors.
- Assists with supervision and/or administration of disaster planning for the property, including monthly fire-drills and missing resident drills. Monitors routine safety inspections regularly.
- Assists with maintenance of applicable community licenses (State, County, local).
- Helps minimize worker’s compensation and unemployment losses.
- Performs conflict interventions and resolutions for residents, families, employees, and vendors. If unable to solve issues, appropriate referral is made.
- Assists with the development of budgets and profit plans, as well as annual management and marketing plans.
- Strives to meet and exceed occupancy goals. Responsible for coordinating and supervising community’s marketing efforts, including on-site sales, direct mail, public relations, community networking, and advertising.
- Works actively in the community to develop prospects, maintain outreach & education to ensure positive relationships with community resources. Participates in community functions, including family socials and open house.
- Follows internal sales process while selling and marketing the community to prospective residents and families.
- Educates appropriate residents and families as well as referral sources on the community’s philosophy and services and executes continued follow-up.
- Assists with/supervises completion of semi-annual competitive analysis.
- Maintains positive and effective channels of communication between departments, residents, family members, the community, and personnel.
Personal Care Home Administrator License Recommended
