About the Position:
The Pharmacy Clinical Manager oversees all daily clinical and operational activities of the Pharmacy Department. This includes planning, managing, and evaluating tasks and functions of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, including all aspects of patient care from a clinical perspective and from an ongoing organizational perspective. Additionally, this leader serves as the Residency Program Director (RPD) for the pharmacy’s PGY-1 Residency. As the RPD, the Manager is responsible for the continued development, oversight, and maintenance of the pharmacy residency program.
Responsibilities:
- Serving as a preceptor for Pharmacy Residents and College of Pharmacy students
- Designing, managing, measuring, and improving the medication management system
- Ensuring quality outcomes through the coordination of performance-improvement activities
- Work closely with the informatics teams on intermittent projects or continual optimization related to medication utilization
- Managing the pharmaceutical supply chain, to assure pharmacy has the necessary medications
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (includes residency)
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a formulary approved by the medical staff
- Coordinates and works with P&T Chair on Pharmacy and Therapeutic meeting agenda, reports, and when necessary minutes
- Effectively administers performance evaluations for assigned pharmacists

- PGY1 or PGY2 (Required)
- Pediatric Experience (Strongly Preferred)
- PharmD or Bachelors from an accredited Pharmacy program
- Current Texas Pharmacist License or License Eligible
- Bilingual - English / Spanish (Preferred)
