The Challenge:
Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., a leading interactive entertainment company, seeks a product counsel to join its Product & Publishing legal team with a focus on trust and safety and age appropriate design. This is an opportunity to join a highly-motivated team and to work with multiple game labels across the company to support our industry-leading products to foster safe, welcoming environments for our players. This is a hybrid in-person position that will operate out of Take-Two’s offices located in either in the Bay Area, California; New York City; or London. The selected candidate will support teams located in North American and Western European time zones.
What You’ll Take On:
- Serve as product counsel for Take-Two’s publishing labels, assisting in providing legal advice to leadership on strategic and operational matters with specific focus on trust and safety, minor safety, and age appropriate design.
- Develop strong relationships with key partners across Trust & Safety, Security, Privacy, Product & Publishing, and collaborate to create and maintain internal legal trainings, policies, and guidelines.
- Stay up to date on current and emerging legislation, industry standard processes, and threats related to trust and safety, minor safety, and age appropriate design.
- Review blocking issues from internal Security, Customer Support, and Trust & Safety teams while exercising sound judgment to make prompt, concise, reasoned recommendations to high-level partners.
- Engage with industry trade associations on matters of public policy and government affairs, contribute to industry-wide initiatives and submissions, and advocate for Take-Two’s public policy priorities.
What You Bring:
- Commercially minded lawyer with 5-8 years of experience, ideally in the consumer or technology space, mobile, or entertainment industries. Strong preference given to candidates who have in-house experience.
- Working knowledge of online safety, content moderation, consumer protection, and privacy laws. Preference given to candidates with experience in advising on:
- U.S. and international content regulations, including California Age-Appropriate Design Codes, EU Digital Services Act, and UK Online Safety Act; and/or
- Implementing safety-, privacy-, and/or security-by-design processes.
- Must possess keen intellect, attention to detail, excellent communication and decision-making skills, and the ability to influence and interact at all levels of the organization.
- Must be willing and able to work as part of a team dealing with urgent, confidential and highly-sensitive subject matter.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a strong ability to balance multiple matters simultaneously and appropriately prioritize projects.
- Genuine desire and enthusiasm to work in the video games industry; must be a great teammate with common sense, kindness, good humor, and dedication to succeeding together.
- Must provide certificate of good standing from the State Bar (issued within 90 days of applying).

Compensation:
The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $123,500 and $182,780 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
